Planet Earth, behold the mighty prog-strewn high-powered trio DOG SHREDDER. The Bellingham, Washington-based outfit’s rambunctious metallic output is about to bore its way into your head like a pissed-off electrified sixty-pound millipede on a brain-drilling mission.
Several years of regional touring and countless performances alongside everyone from Melt Banana to Marnie Stern, Helmet to Black Cobra, and everywhere in between has amassed DOG SHREDDER a wealth of bewildered reactions from show-goers and media alike throughout the Pacific Northwest. Even Seattle’s major weekly arts paper The Stranger referred to the band’s unhinged live energy as “downright unfuckwithable” in a show review.
Following their self-released two-song Boss Rhino EP in 2010, DOG SHREDDER are preparing to lay waste to faces worldwide with their next invasion of aural decimation this Spring. The forthcoming Brass Tactics bears three brand new slabs of calculated chaos that captures DOG SHREDDER’s live attack. Recorded and mixed by Adam B. Pike at Portland’s Toadhouse Studio and Paul Turpin at Bellingham’s Champion Street Sound Studios, and mastered by Levi Seitz at Black Belt Mastering in Seattle.
Real good stuff. Sounds like its from the early 90's = bands like Melvins, Helmet and Soundgarden :P Perfection! *Side Effects May Include: MILD TO MODERATE DEATH*
Poesy Rider
The latest Djunah LP channels the duo's heavy, intensely cathartic sound to reflect on living with and healing from trauma. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 14, 2023
