GAY*BITS is a split LP from two of Portland's most exciting underground rock 'n' roll bands: GAYTHEIST and RABBITS. Like two sides of the same strange coin, GAY*BITS showcases the wherewithal the two power trios summon to run in different directions with the same basic tools and material. Attacking the split LP format as a collaborative challenge rather than simply a vehicle for two distinct EPs, GAY*BITS funnels, fuses, and distills the best of both their wacked-out worlds into twelve nuggets of hook-laden noise rock. Sharing songs, singers, and so-called humor, GAYTHEIST and RABBITS get up inside each others' warped heads and in each others' faces like never before, bringing out the best of both for a rollicking ridealong through a razorbladed candyland of catchy riffs, bruising beats, and surprises galore.

Sounds a bit like Soundgarden sometimes, it's pure tough and solid like Torche, Fight Amp, Whores but more richer artistically. Imo, much interesting than following record. modestdramma
I stumbled upon this band because Gaytheist is pretty much the perfect name ever. Turns out the music is pretty good too. Good rock with punk and metal edges and a fairly unique sound. dharmalogos
One of the most unsettling albums i have heard in a while. Chat Pile creates a grotesque blend of noise and groove that brings me back everytime. scarface6204
The surprisingly comical new video from roaring metal group Red Fang is a tip of the hat to the original “Predator.” Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 12, 2016
